Airwaze is a one-person operation. Every email lands with the person who built the app: john@airwaze.com.
Questions, bug reports, feature ideas — write to john@airwaze.com. For bug reports, the fix comes faster with:
No aircraft on screen? Airwaze shows live positions from adsb.fi, a network of volunteer ADS-B ground receivers. Coverage is dense near cities and airports and thinner in remote areas — an empty screen usually means no receiver in range, not a broken app. Positions refresh every 60 seconds.
Location not working? Location permission is optional. If you decline or revoke it, the app uses a manually configured location instead — set one in settings. Location is used only while the app is open; there is no background tracking.
Sky Pointer aiming wrong? Sky Pointer reads the compass and gyroscope. If it drifts, calibrate the compass (a few figure-eight motions) and keep the phone away from magnets and large metal surfaces.
Overhead alerts? A haptic tap when an aircraft passes within 5 km — while the app is open. Airwaze never runs location in the background.
Airwaze is a one-time purchase — there is no subscription to cancel. Payments are handled entirely by the stores, so refunds go through them too:
If you left an email on airwaze.com for the launch notification, you'll get exactly one message — the day the app goes live. To be removed from the list, write to john@airwaze.com. Details in the privacy policy.
