Airwaze is a live aircraft visualization app. This policy describes what information the app uses and what happens to it. The short version: Airwaze has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no servers of its own. Your data stays on your device.
Location (optional). With your permission, Airwaze uses your device's location to:
Your location is processed on your device. It is never stored on a server, sold, or shared. The only time coordinates leave your device is as the center-point parameter of requests to the public flight-data API (adsb.fi) — the same way a weather app sends coordinates to fetch a forecast. Those requests are not tied to your identity or to any account. You can decline or revoke location permission at any time; the app then uses a manually configured location instead.
Motion sensors (optional). The Sky Pointer feature uses the gyroscope and compass to determine where you are pointing your phone. Sensor readings are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted or stored.
Settings. Your preferences (view mode, search radius, display options, and an optional third-party API key you may enter) are stored locally on your device only.
Airwaze fetches publicly available data directly from your device:

Each service receives only what is needed to answer the request and is governed by its own privacy policy. None of these requests include your identity.
Airwaze does not target children and collects no personal information from anyone.
This policy covers the Airwaze mobile app and this website (see 06). Other apps published under the Airwaze name have their own policies, available at airwaze.com.
airwaze.com serves no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party scripts or fonts. The one thing it can store is the email address you volunteer through the launch-notification form, saved with a timestamp and nothing else. It is used to send a single launch announcement, is never shared or sold, and you can have it removed at any time by writing to john@airwaze.com.
The AirWall demo page fetches live aircraft for a location you choose. If you tap "Use my location", your browser's coordinates — rounded to about a kilometre — are sent for that lookup only, held briefly in a server-side cache, and never stored or logged. Aircraft photos on that page load from Planespotters.net, which sees your IP address the way any image host does.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at airwaze.com/privacy with a new effective date.
